NIOS Stream 2

NIOS Stream 2 is for all those learners who had appeared but could not clear or were eligible but could not appear for examination of Secondary/Senior Secondary (10th or 12th) standard from any recognised boards like CBSE, ISC, ICSE or other state boards within India for the same subject combination in which they had appeared before.

The learners of stream 2 will be eligible to appear in the September/ October, 2023 Secondary/Senior Secondary examination of NIOS on the basis of original failed Marksheet/admit card (Hall Ticket) of the respective boards. In Stream 2, NIOS board Marksheet, provisional certificate, migration cum transfer certificate and passing certificate will be awarded for the year 2023 to the successful learners. The learners registered under stream 2 will be eligible for TOC (Transfer of Credit) as per guidelines and conditions given in NIOS Prospectus.

The eligibility criteria is fairly simple. This stream is open for such learners who have already passed the Secondary/ Senior Secondary examination from the recognised board and wish to take Part Admission in one subject or up to 4 subjects for updating their grades, OR learners who had appeared but could not clear OR who were eligible but could not appear in the Secondary/ Senior Secondary level examination from any recognised Examination Board and fulfil entry requirement of age.

Following documents are required by the NIOS at the time of admission.

  • For class 10th admission
    • Original class 10th (failed) Marksheet
    • Original admit card
  • For class 12th admission
    • Original class 12th (failed) Marksheet
    • Original admit card
    • Photocopy of class 10th Marksheet along with passing certificate.
  • Proof of residence. You can bring any of the following:
    • Aadhaar Card of the student,
    • Ration card,
    • Voter Id card of the patents
    • Water/Telephone/Electricity bill/ Bank statement of any active account
    • Parents Passport In Case Of Minor
  • Coloured passport size photographs

NIOS Fee for Stream 2 will be in range of ₹ 5000 – 6000. We charge ₹1200 for our consultation, form filling, practical assistance, regular updates till the exams.
